You have to love Paris Baguette. Their baked goods are always fresh and super-dependable and they always have something new on offer. On Sunday, I spotted their elusive “Royal pudding” product. It comes in a very distinctive miniature glass milk jugg. I had seen reports of this product before on the West coast but never in New York. (more…)
One of the great things about living in New York City is that you have access to some of the best restaurants in the world. In the last two weeks I had the pleasure of sampling desserts from two, three-Michelin-starred restaurants. And no, I didn’t just win the lottery, I went to Le Bernardin for lunch and a then took advantage of Daniel’s awesome new dessert and drink offer. (more…)

People on the upper west side were excited to hear that Tarallucci E Vino was opening one of their wine bars here. I had never been to any of their locations so I didn’t know what all the fuss was about. However, I was intrigued when I saw their fresh baked goods on display. Every morning they sell brioches, pastry, pan au chocolats and other items which are really excellent. In fact, except for Joe and Art of Coffee which sells Ceci Cela croissants, Tarallucci offers the best breakfast pastry in the neighborhood. (more…)
