Royale has: A cool interior, super friendly staff, awesome cupcakes that belong in a design museum, and a great selection of cookies and other baked goods.
The chocolate chip cookies from Royale: Cookies and cupcakes come from the same kitchen as Baked in Red Hook. The Baked or Royale cookie is a sweet and crumbly one. They feature huge square chunks of dark-ish chocolate that remind of the rectangles in Ben and Jerry’s. Though Serious Eats wasn’t too crazy about them but I thought they were excellent. A lot of people also insisted that I get out to Red Hook to review these. Thankfully, they saved me the trip.
