Bouchon Bakery’s Pain Aux Trois Chocolat is here and we are all over it with a write up because DessertBuzz is so on the cutting edge of New York City dessert offerings–what? It’s been out for almost a year? Oh well, better late then never.
Ok, so the Pain Aux Trois Chocolat is chocolate three ways: 1) There’s cocoa powder in the flaky, buttery, croissant dough, 2) a solid milk chocolate vein runs throughout and 3) A semi-sweet pastry creme filling that’s the consistency of Nutella take sup the rest of the space inside. Note: the amount of chocolate in the “Trois” is like a bazooka compared to a standard pain aux chocolate, which is like a cap gun. Your mission: Eat and destroy.
