This gift is twenty dollars worth of class.  It comes inside a particularly nice looking box and you get a few layers of milk and dark chocolate disks embedded with apricot bits, hazelnuts and pistachios.  These aren’t just any chocolate disks, these are made by Valrhona. What does that mean?  It means they’re damn good.

Gift for the New York chocolate lover, check!

One of the classiest cookbooks I have seen this year.

Sarabeth’s Bakery is one of the classiest cookbooks I have seen in a while.  Rizzoli certainly didn’t skimp on photo or paper quality either.  You’ll probably want to frame many of the stunning photos and hang them in your kitchen.  If you have a baker or pastry chef on your Hanukah or Christmas list – you simply can’t go wrong with this 320 page,  large format cookbook.  ”Sarabeth’s Bakery: from my hands to yours” by Sarabeth Levine is really part coffee table book and part cookbook.
