We’re big fans of Karen DeMasco’s pastry here at DessertBuzz. Her desserts are always interesting and always delicious. From fancied-up mini-rhubarb pies to lemon tarts–we dig them all.
When she was at Craft there seemed to be more emphasis on classic high-end restaurant desserts like chocolate souffles. Now at Locanda Verde the desserts are more casual. Here’s a video of Karen telling us about the dish she brought to the 2011 New York Food and Wine “Sweet” event, a cranberry spiced griddle cake with mascarpone gelato.
