Local pastry chef to provide dessert course for epic Chefs Congress Dinner at Eataly19 Oct 2011, Posted by Eataly, Reviews in
Katia Delogu, Head Pastry Chef at Eataly, will be serving up a very high profile 7th course at the Identita Golose Seven Course Dinner under the stars hosted Lidia Bastianich. Some of Katia’s fellow chefs include Wylie Dufresne of Wd-50, Michael White of Marea and Mario Batali. (
Tickets are still available. More info below)
From day one, the desserts and pastry from Eataly have earned universal praise from many NYC food critics. Many believe their gelato (next to the Eastern most entrance) is the best in the city. I can only imagine what chef Delogu will come up with given the caliber of the other chefs. Maybe she’ll take all the heavy hitters to school the way the Doughnut Plant did a few weeks ago at the New York Food and Wine Show where 3-star Michelin pasty chef, Johnny Iuzzini’s “crispy chocolate and Praline Pop” was bested by the doughnut guys.
