Pumpkin cake from Francois Payard

Despite the big New York City Pastry Chef news today–Halloween is coming and I have to post some of the cool stuff on offer.  On the high end, there’s Francois Payard’s pumpkin cake ($28.00).

If you’re more interested in an all-chocolate pumpkin consider the Jacques Torres “Jacques”-O’lantern ($23.00) available in stores or the more affordable “creepy coffins” with milk chocolate covered Cheerio’s inside for $15.00 available on the Mr Chocolate website.

On the more whimsical side there’s Martine’s Chocolates who is selling chocolate eyeballs, scary owls and all kinds of special order items.  Visit the store on the Upper East Side  to see what else you can get.
