Taste of the Upper West Side: Comfort Classics

Last night was the return of the New Taste of The Upper West Side with their Comfort Classics, event co-hosted by Travel Channel’s Adam Richman and joined by  fellow Travel Channel extreme foodie and new co-host, Andrew Zimmern. The food consisted of original bites inspired by classic dishes from 35 chefs.

Tonight is the Best of the West and the VIP Reception, honoring New York’s legendary food critic, Gael Greene. The evening will feature such world renowned chefs as Daniel Boulud, Jacques Torres, Jean-Georges Vongerichten, alongside 40 more celebrated talents from the Upper West Side, creating signature dishes and spectacular bites.  For more information and to purchase tickets go here.

Chocolate covered bacon from Baconery

Baconery brought three different bacon desserts including chocolate covered bacon.

Ed's Chowder house brought banana creme pie

Ed’s Chowder House brought a delicious banana creme pie in a cup.

My favorite dessert from last night was from Shake Shack.  They brought an olive oil frozen custard with local strawberry compote.

Magnolia bakery cupcakes

Magnolia Bakery brought their famous banana pudding, some peanut butter squares and of course cupcakes.

Valrhona brought some great cookies
