NYC Chocolate weekend? How did I not know? Of course I know that there are nearly endless fine chocolate establishments in NYC…but it is tragic that I am so close yet so far this weekend.

Today I went to LA Burdick who kindly stamped my Chocolate Passport in advance as two friends had the hot chocolate. Then I enjoyed orangette and ylang-ylang chocolate at L’Atelier du Chocolat where Nami is so hospitable. Then Joan Coukos of Chocolat Moderne made me taste the new “tomato” chocolate which has a high note of real tomatoes (from Italy). I bought her excellent heart-shaped bonbons. I will be buying Nunu’s chocolates at the 23rd & Madison fair as it is nearer than Brooklyn. Also on my list is a visit to Bond St Chocolates and Michel Cluizel. The rest of the offerings seem quite lame.

Seby, thanks for the report! Good to know what’s on offer at some of these places. Real tomatoes–interesting and I thought I had tasted everything.

Something to say?
