Yesterday I recommended some of my favorite vendors at this year’s chocolate show along with some insider tips. After sleeping on it (yes, I’m always thinking about desserts awake or not) I realized that the best way to get your $28 worth is to attend the Pastry Demonstrations. Where else can you see a live demonstration by Johnny Iuzzuni, Francois Payard and Nancy Olsen all in the same place? Don’t forget, you get to sample the results! A complete schedule is on the Chocolate Show site (below) but here are the official DesssertBuzz recommendations:

All demos below are 45 minutes and either in Dacor Culinary Kitchen Theater I or II:
Thursday, November 11:
12:30 – Christina Tosi from Momofuku Milk Bar (Theater II)
5:00pm – Jerome Chang and Vincent Joura from Dessert Truck Works

Friday, November 12:
1:00 – Hsen Chan from the Peninsula Hotel
2:00 – Lev Ekster from The Cupcake Stop
3:00 – Jacques Torres from, um, Jacques Torres
Saturday, November 13
2:00 – Francois Payard from Francois Payard Bakery and Francois Chocolate Bar
6:00 – Erik Wolitzky from Baked Bakery and Top Chef: Just Desserts

Sunday, November 14
2:00 – Zac Young from Flex Mussels and Top Chef: Just Desserts
3:00 – Johnny Iuzzini from Jean Georges and head judge on Top Chef: Just Desserts
3:30 – Nancy Olsen from Gramery Tavern (II)
For more information about the The New York Chocolate Show go here. The show runs Nov 11-14 at the Metropolitan Pavillion. Tickets are $28.00 if you purchase in advance and $30 at the door.

Cool recs, but to go, I’d have to skip work for two days!
Sat, Sunday? 🙂
Sorry to have missed this event!
